We've had a busy last few days, but last evening was a quiet one spent at home. After being out all day in the cold the day before for Grace's first horse show - wow, those shows are long and cold! But she did great! - it was nice to spend a day at home. We popped one balloon each hour, starting at noon and ending at midnight, ate a lot of food, and watched movies. We watched Return of the Jedi, because we are planning to see the new Star Wars film in just a few days. And we watched Despicable Me.
We also tried this neat idea I found online:
It was the hit of the evening, so I think a new tradition has been born. We all made it to midnight, though I confess to dozing off here and there, but I think we'll be turning in quite a bit earlier tonight. I would love to stay up and watch Sherlock, but I don't think I'll make it. Thank goodness for the good old DVR, so I can watch it tomorrow instead.
I'll be back early next week with my 52 books in 52 weeks round-up, plus we'll be starting up school again Tuesday, so I'm sure there will be plenty to chat about.
Happy New Year!
