Monday Musings

A bit late today, because we spent so much time out and about over the weekend that our Monday got off to a slow start!
On Tap for the Week

Last archery class of the season this week-although we may continue over the summer. Christopher had his "competition" over the weekend (in quotes because everyone is just competing against themselves!). He did great, and earned the points he needed to win his next archery pin. I am hoping for a quiet Father's Day weekend. This past weekend we were barely home at all-we had fun, but it all kind of passed in a blur!

Outside My Window
A rainy Monday, but I never mind a rainy Monday. Everyone is usually reluctant to sit down and work on Mondays, but the rain makes it easier  to buckle down and do lessons.

I think I finally have everything planted. I got the tomatoes and jalapenos in just before the rain started today, a full week after I intended to plant them, but oh, well!

Homeschool Notes

I am hoping to get my Book Shark order this week, but I haven't received an email yet confirming shipment. Rose is about to start Explode the Code Book 1, and I am going to hold off on ordering her next handwriting book until I see how she likes it. There is enough writing in ETC that it could serve for both phonics and handwriting. I have been reading Shadow Spinner with Grace and Christopher and I think it is my favorite Core F book so far!

In Our Kitchen

Well, not too much. We are in desperate need of a good grocery shopping but just couldn't squeeze in another errand this weekend. The boys are cooking this week and they plan to make corn chowder. I am really hoping to find time to make some rhubarb jam.

Watching & Reading

The kids and I watched IMAX Kingdom of the Tiger.  We are way behind on Cosmos, but I hope to watch one with them this week. I started DVR-ing 'Jeopardy!' too, because I remembered I used to love watching it as a kid and I think they will enjoy it, too.

Hope you have a great week!
