a word for 2014

Change your life with just one word. That's the idea, anyway. Have you heard of this? I tend to be slow on things so I am probably late to the party. But I love this idea and keep seeing it everywhere. You choose just one word to be your focus word for the year, instead of making resolutions. By focusing on just that one thing, you will actually create a ripple effect that can improve lots of other things.

I don't really like making resolutions, so this is perfect. It's so simple that I think it might actually stick. I didn't even have to think very hard to decide on my one word. It's something I need to do- more slowly, more deeply, more mindfully, and more calmly.

It's going to take practice. I started today.

  1. I have a Pinterest 'friend' whose word is Shine. I hadn't heard of it before she started posting stuff about that word all over the place. Good luck with your word; now I'm going to have to figure out what mine would be, whether I try to follow the concept or not.

  2. I love this idea, and the word that comes to mind is "trust". We'll see how well I remember that over the next year!

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment!
